Post Jam spaces in Van
Quick question - What is the jam space situation like in Vancouver? Here in Vic they are few and far in between, expensive, and most of them have no storage. We were lucky enough to scoop up a spot that is available 24/7 where we can leave our gear up. Is there anything similar to this in Van?

There's quite a few places in Van, but they're all not even close to as nice as yours in Vic...and they're pretty expensive unless you share with another 1 or 2 bands.

There is a fair number of lockouts but as mentioned most are pretty expensive. It's do-able but expect to put down some cash for it or at the very least share the room with another band (not always the best idea).

There are plenty of rehearsal spaces where you rent for a couple hours or so. AO goes to Charts which is decent. We go there primarily for location, but the gear isn't too bad. Sometimes these places can have real shit gear, although there is the option of bringing your own (which cuts down on rental fees).

Yeah it's alright. I've jammed out there before. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't live on the north shore though... too inconvenient. Good for people who live over there though.

Pretty much. It's a great place but it's not worth getting out of your way to get there. The owner is really nice too, so that's a plus.
