 Dropkick Murphys
I'm down south Taking Care Of Business and I found out the Murphys are playing here in a couple of weeks. I got my ticket yesterday. Should be cool, never seen them live before.

 Re: Dropkick Murphys
right on. Do you get to attend a lot of shows when you are out of the country?

Yeah, some. Luck of the draw of course, depending on who's coming to the town I'm in at the time.

 Re: Dropkick Murphys
Contrary to what I said in another thread, I'm going to another show here the night after D.M.
Metallica.
I know, I know, I said I wouldn't go see them but it is much cheaper here and the venue is a short walk from where I'm staying and they still had tickets left so I decided to go.
Just hope they play a bunch of older songs.

Shame on you Maddog! By law, you must now turn in your metalhead membership card.

 Re: Dropkick Murphys
If I could see Metallica for cheap and could walk to the venue, I too would attend the show. Whatever is generally felt about them and the (downward and plain shitty) direction their music has digressed to, they are still a powerhouse metal act and always provide a quality performance. I have heard that they plan to do more old skool stuff for this tour, that would be best but then who knows for sure.

I'm pretty sure it was a lot more in Van.

 Re: Dropkick Murphys
Well, saw Metallica last night, so I got a preview of the show you're going to see in Van. It was all right. They are a pretty good rock and roll band now. Only played a few songs from their first 4 albums but that is pretty much what I expected. One funny thing was it was Kirk's birthday and during the last song (Seek and Destroy) the roadies covered him shaving cream pies and silly string and etc. and then everybody sang him Happy Birthday. Dropkick Murphys kicked ass the night before! Had a great time. Good fucking party band.
